Online Casino Reports

We all know that there are thousands of poker sites and casino sites online.  If you are looking for a place to play, the choices can be overwhelming.  I have some good news for you, I stumbled upon a very useful site that provides online casino reviews and makes it very easy for you to decide where to play. This site is the ultimate online casino guide and provides news, guides, forums, videos, articles and tips.  In my opinion, the two most useful sections are the directory section and the services section.
The directory section is a great source for all your your favorite free casino games and all other gambling related product including online casino, poker rooms, sports betting, online bingo, backgammon, gin rummy, lotteries, skill games, betting exchange and mobile gaming.

The services provides the top bonuses that require no deposits, bonuses for high rollers, jackpots trackers, top poker bonuses and much more.

The site also has a some pretty cool videos like this one:

Poker Training Sites- Worth it or not?

I have been trying out some poker training websites and have seen a lot of buzz around them on other blogs and forums that I have been reading.  A bunch of my friends have been whining that the online games are getting to hard to win.  I think the style of play and some of the strategies have changed and even the best players could use a tune up every now and then.  I jumped on  Cardrunners.com and pulled up some videos and started doing some reading and I feel that I learned a lot or relearned a lot I should say.  One of the things I need help with is dealing with limp callers while playing limit games, especially when playing Omaha hi lo. I did find a video on the subject and learned a lot and was able to apply the strategy later that day in win some big pots.  So my answer is yes, poker training sites are definitely worth it even for guys who think they know every thing (me)

Aced.com poker room review

As a follow-up to my last post, I just had to check out Aced.com.  Here is my review.

To start with, they offer a really good starting bonus at 200% so that was nice.  They have a good variety of tournament and ring games to choose from.  The best tourney is on Sunday, they have a 20 k tournament.  The problem that I found is that is difficult to find a game over $1/2.  The games I did play in, I cleaned up.  The level of competition is low and there are a lot of soft players.  I almost felt bad taking all their money (almost, I said…)

The visual are strong, very clean graphics and very easy to use interface.  The tables are high quality as well, nicely decorated without going overboard.

All in all, the site is pretty impressive although very similar to other sites out there.  The two things that make it worth checking out are the deposit bonus and the “easy prey.”  I will definitely be playing there again.

Jamie Gold signs with Aced

What do guys think of this?  I was talking to a buddy about this and his first question was, “Who the hell is Aced, and where did they get all that money?”  Aced is a spanking new brand, the poker room started only 4 months ago and is making a huge splash in the online world.  I must admit, I have never played their so I can not tell you the pros and cons but I am definitely intrigued and will be heading over their soon.

It is being reported that the deal is in the 8 figures + range, which is absolutely crazy!  I say good for Jamie, he is a great poker player and even a better person.  If anyone deserves this it is him.  The amazing thing about winning the WSOP these days is that the prize money is chump change compared to what you can parlay that into.

I still trying to get to the table…

Tournament or Cash Game?

Tournaments or Cash Games, that is the question.

I love tournaments and play much more tourneys than cash games.  I have noticed recently that the tournaments are getting much deeper and getting harder to win than ever before.  Last year, I won two large tournaments with other 200 players and a $100 a buy in (that was nice) but since then the closest I have come in is 4th.

Yesterday, I took a look at exactly how much I have spent and how much I have won over the past year.  Basically, I figured out my profit.  It was good but not great and not as good as in the past.  I am going to try something new, I will be changing from mostly tournaments to sit and go cash games.  I figure I can play longer, win more and add a different dimension to my game.  Just writing about it is getting me excited.  Time for me to go play.  Wish me luck.  I will keep you posted.

What do you like better? Tournaments? or cash games?
